Eye-worm

eye-worm noun /ˈaɪˌwɜːm/plural: eye-worms
A fragment of image, scene, or visual impression that becomes fixed in the imagination, recurring involuntarily or haunting within the mind’s eye. Word of my own creation, formed by analogy with earworm (from German Ohrwurm, literally “ear worm”), denoting a tune that lodges in the mind.

Eye-worms: abridged book.

Eye-Worms is an unconventional artist's statement and the interpretive key to my work.

Originally written as a 120,000-word memoir, it was distilled into a 15,000-word companion text to the artworks. Rather than documenting a life, it describes a way of seeing.
