Data-blast

data-blast noun /ˈdeɪtəˌblɑːst/plural: data-blasts
A rapid sequence of images presented in such quick succession that they are perceived almost subliminally, overwhelming conscious visual processing while leaving fragments of imagery lodged in the imagination. In my practice, a data-blast may contain hundreds of artworks shown within seconds—for example, 800 paintings in 20 seconds—with the intention of implanting or triggering an eye-worm within the spectator’s mind. Word of my own creation, formed from data and blast, referring to the accelerated discharge of visual information.
